Do the solar panels only work when the sun is out?

 

No. The solar panels absorb light to generate energy. So while they work best on long summer days when there is the most light, they still generate energy in winter.

Yes, but they will be inclined to achieve the correct pitch.

No. At night, for instance, or when you are using a lot of power, the system will be augmented by energy from conventional sources to maintain your constant supply.

Very little, maybe an annual clean as there are no moving parts, we provide this in our after care and also can perform yearly system performance check-ups.
